Cole Air Conditioning & Appliance Co. is an established independent dealer for Trane Heating & Air Conditioning products, recognized by Trane and GE for more than three decades as one of the top dealers in the East Texas area.

As a family owned and operated business for over forty years, Joel and Janie Cole, along with their children, Judy McPherson and Michael Morrison operate the business on a daily basis.  With the combination of the manufacturers warranty and the commitment of the Cole’s to stand behind every job we do, we have won the Trane “Excellence Award” for many years in a row and have scores of satisfied customers who return year after year for any heating, air conditioning, or major appliance need they might have.

Our company has been a member in good standing of the Athens Chamber of Commerce since 1966 and also a member of the Chamber in Tyler and the Cedar Creek Lake Area for many years.  We are a member of the Tyler Area Builder’s Association, the Better Business Bureau and support many local organizations and charities as well.

We feel our business has grown and prospered through the past forty years because of our commitment to the community, our customers, and our employees.

We have contracted with Environmental Remediation Services for the past ten years to monitor and check our operations on a quarterly basis to ensure not only a safe workplace for our employees, but ensuring compliance with standard safety practices on the jobsite and in our customer’s homes.  We are fully ensured, licensed and bonded to maintain the level of protection we feel our employees and our customers deserve.

Our son, Michael Morrison, who has a BA in mechanical engineering, heads up our engineering department.  He, along with Mike Shea, our quality control specialist, and Wayne Carter, our inside engineer on sales & installation, can assure our customers they are receiving a quality product, quality installation and service after the sale.

We offer 24 hour service to our customers and continually are on the lookout for the newest and best products available in today’s constantly changing marketplace.  We are dedicated to educating our customers in the best way to install heating and air conditioning products to ensure they get what they need in a timely manner at reasonable cost.  With over 38 employees and 23 trucks, we have one of the largest staff of technicians and installers in the area.  Our factory trained air conditioning and appliance technicians will always advise a customer when it will be more cost effective to replace an air conditioning system or an appliance rather than an expensive repair on an old one that is likely to fail again because even though it is repaired, it is still old.  In many instances, even after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, we have continued to make repairs at no charge if the customer has experienced an unreasonable amount of problems with their product.  This is one of many ways Cole’s has always “gone the extra mile” for the sake of good customer service.  Our personal guarantee on service work performed insures the customer of no repeat labor charge if the same problem occurs within 30 days.
